Effasing the music Next, Scott set about removing the existing black pigment in Natalie's locks. This was achieved by applying Efassor cleanser. The cleanser was left in longer on the top of Natalie's head, meaning that more of the dark pigment was removed there. This would ultimately allow Natalie's new colour to appear lighter on the top of her head, and to enhance the desired colour fade from a light to darker tone. STEP THREE STEP FOUR Bye-bye black The cleanser was removed. All that glitters A carefully measured blend of Goldwell hair colours -- including coppers, reds and golds -- was mixed. Scott and Raquel applied the colour in such a way as to create a colour fade. STEP FIVE STEP SIX Fresh start The colour formula was rinsed away, and Natalie's hair was shampooed, conditioned, and blow-dried. Shattered and ironed out The cut and style. Raqueal said the style featured an orbit- inspired shaping around Natalie's face, while the interior was "shattered" (texturised). "The dark colours around the edge have a heavier base, and the lighter colour is texturised to blend into the depth," Raquel said. Hair stylist Carlin Hudson completed the styling using KMS products and a straightening iron. THE TEAM MINK HAIR Mink Hair is at 3/490 Central Coast Highway, Erina Heights. Phone 4367 4500.
