After all, Coasting hasn't featured a picture of a car on the cover before. Sure, we've taken a turn off the beaten track this month -- in more ways than one -- but I think you'll enjoy the journey. Our cover story looks at four-wheel-driving with Central Coast 4WD Club. Anyone with an appreciation of the great outdoors will enjoy this story. Some of you who own four-wheel-drives might even be prompted to join the club. You certainly don't have to be an off-road expert to become a member. In fact, total beginners are made to feel very welcome. Those of us with sedate sedans, meanwhile, will look upon the club's adventures with envy. Some of the locations that club members can reach in their vehicles are superb. The adventure theme continues with our stories on Central Coast Paragliding and the Coast's three squadrons of the Australian Air League. There's plenty, too, for music lovers, with stories on the Australian Songwriters Conference at Ettalong Beach, a preview to the GOATS Family Festival, and an inside look at the work of a local sound engineer who has toured with everyone from Tom Jones to Iron Maiden. Pages devoted to movies, theatre, art and dance, as well as our popular dining guide section, make for a satisfying mix. And one lucky reader will win a set of wheels. Seriously. Check it out on page 30.
