The Italian restaurant specialises in mouth-watering pizzas, pastas and seafood. Owner ``Chef Michael'', as he is known around the Central Coast, says food has been his passion since he was a boy. ``I've always been interested in cooking. It's who I am,'' he said.``I had Michael's restaurant at East Gosford and was also at Mellows.'' Gourmet pizzas follow an around-the- world theme. Such as the ``London'', (chicken, bacon, garlic, sour cream and rosemary) the ``Bombay'' (tandoori chicken topped with cucumber and garlic yoghurt) and the ``Australia'' (bacon and king prawns with cajun seasoning, roasted capsicum and coriander). Traditional pastas including bolognese, boscaiola, carbonara and napoletana are great value at $19.50. ``There's also a fantastic chilli prawn pasta and a marinara pasta which is very popular,'' Michael said. Also on the menu is a baked chicken breast stuffed with semi dried tomato and camembert cheese ($27.50); a grilled barramundi fillet on beetroot puree with watercress salad ($28.50); and a twice cooked duck marylands with orange, honey and sweet soy on wilted bok choy ($30.50). Michael said the simple yet tasty menu made the restaurant popular with families. ``There's a lovely atmosphere here. We've got a beautiful courtyard for outdoor dining and it's a great place to bring the kids. We've got a great kids menu for them to choose from,'' he said.
