Time for MARK to CASH IN Coasting has interviewed a diverse range of musicians in recent editions, from the classically trained and country bred to precociously talented, but there has been a common thread to many of their stories -- the internet. It's clear that the internet has changed the way that musos connect with their audience. It was particularly true for Budgewoi's ARIA chart-toppers Short Stack who, incidentally, are coming home to play what is sure to be a massive gig at Doyalson (see page 30). And it's true for Blue Haven's Mark Cashin whose inspiring story is featured in this month's edition. Our popular quiz, "So you call yourself a local", takes a different twist this month. It tests the theory that it's not what you know, it's who you know. No December edition of the magazine would be complete without a guide to the local festive season celebrations. There are some big names coming to town to sing at a host of Christmas carol events. We also preview the New Year's Eve party scene. We've got the usual mix of informative and entertaining articles on health and fitness, food, pets and careers, and you're sure to be impressed by the $500,000 home renovation at Matcham which has won a major industry award for a local company. December is also the start of summer, so we've asked some of the region's leading swimwear stores to showcase the cossies that will be making a splash. Dive in!
