3 www.coastingtoday.com.au "It's just that magical here at Brentwood Village since the renovations -- 50 acres of sheer grin-inducing bliss. The star attraction is our glorious new boardwalk meandering through the rainforest around the lake. I kid you not, with the sounds of geese and lorikeets and the trickling fountains all around, you could forget there's another world out there. Back in the heart of the village there's a thriving community centre, heated pool, gymnasium, bowls, two full sized snooker tables and table tennis facilities, arts and crafts centre, woodwork shop and library. And with our completely refurbished villas, there's plenty to grin about at Brentwood Village. Brentwood's got a new look, come see it for yourself!" Insight to a HAPPY life on tour IFIRST interviewed Nikki Garrett when she was a shy 10-year-old showing promise on the fairways of Tuggerah Lakes Golf Club. We've chatted several times over the years as Nikki has risen through the junior and amateur ranks to finally make it as a touring professional. In our cover story this month, Nikki gives Coasting an insight to life on tour, her long- time friendship with local golf coach Darren Chivas, and her dreams of stepping up to the US Tour next year. And speaking of rising stars, country music artist Lianna Rose seems to have made a wonderful career move by settling on the Central Coast. Since setting up home here in Hillbilly Heaven, Lianna has won two industry awards, and plenty of rave reviews for her debut album. Like so many of the Coast's country music 'mafia', she's a delight to talk to, and an artist who writes from the heart as well as the funny bone. Be sure to follow the links to check out her music online, and you've got to see the video clip to her funny single, I Want My Tractor Back, featuring Angry Anderson. Hitch a ride with Central Coast Soaring Club, learn how to choose a gym that's right for you, and then check out what it's like to live at Kooindah Waters. Our regular features on fashion, dining and music are inside, and we've added a few surprises, as well.
