BUBBLY PERSONALITY: Sample the offerings from more than a dozen winemakers including Peterson's Champagne House. TERRIGAL Food and Wine Fair (October 17 and 18) is a treat for the senses, and for everyone in the family. Terrigal is a foodies' paradise at any time of the year. But during the Terrigal Food and Wine Fair (phone 0434 427 667) the local eateries share the seaside haven with an alluring array of visiting exhibitors offering everything from Dutch pancakes and sizzling shish kebabs to the finest cheeses from the Hunter Valley and, of course, magnificent wines. Enjoy a tasting or two from your choice of more than a dozen celebrated winemakers, including Cassegrain Wines, Tintilla Estate, Savannah Estate and Peterson's Champagne House. Wines are for sale by the glass, and bottles may be purchased to take away. The event runs from 10am to 6pm both days and is family friendly. It features music and entertainment including children's activities and cooking demonstrations. There's even a free shuttle bus to transport visitors into and out of Terrigal so that parking is not a problem.
