Coasting : Issue 4 2009
Photo essay by AARON BROWN 14 Kav Temperley of Eskimo Joe enjoyed top billing. 09 Hot September night Front row passion. MANY young Central Coast punters who had grown tired of listening to their parents' stories of the Narara Music Festival of 1983 took the chance to forge their own music festival tales at Coaster 09 at Gosford Showground. The 10-hour music marathon kicked off at noon, and with different grooves emanating from three stages, it was difficult at times to know where to go, where to look, and who to listen to. Coasting was right there amongst it, rubbing shoulders with a good- natured crowd of 9000 on a memorable hot September night. Aussie hip hop act Bliss 'n' Eso lit up the white stage. YOUR TURN: PEZ turn the tables on the red stage crowd. Hands in the air to Aussie dance outfit Grafton Primary.
